Some memorable quotes I came across today while reading Catch-22:

boastfully about something we ought to be ashamed of. That’s a trick

All good lines, but this one was by far my favorite:
“Just for once I’d like to see all these things
sort of straightened out, with each person getting exactly what he
deserves. It might give me some confidence in this universe.”
Some confidence in the universe would be nice.
