So we decided to spend the night in New Orleans and eat at Emeril's. He's got that new show "On the Menu," and when we were deciding what to eat, I saw the dish that had won the show. Naturally, I had to order it - it was out-of-this-world fantastic crab lasagna.
Two days later, we were in Florida and stopped at Denny's for breakfast. Lo and behold, on their menu was their "On the Menu" winner - apple stuffed french toast, which I promptly ordered. It, too, was wonderful.
So when we got back home, I looked up the other restaurants that have been featured, and since there are so few (10 total), I have decided to try them all. Hit the third one tonight - Korean Barbecue Pizza at California Pizza Kitchen. Pretty good stuff (although I did think the MOUND of cabbage on top was a little over done).
There are five more I can hit in town here, and one more I'll go to when I'm in Austin in February. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get to that last one - it's Cabo Wabo Cantina, and the only ones are in California and Nevada. But that's cool - 9 out of 10 ain't bad. I just love doing this kind of thing!!
